Toolbar:
Enter the name of the block
All the block
names present in
a current drawing
are displayed in
the Name drop-
down list
Select the objects
that will constitute
the block

Specify the base point
of the block you create.
Retain radio button: it retains the selected objects that form the block
as individual objects and does not convert them into a block
Convert to block radio button (default option): it converts the selected
objects into a block after you have defined the block.
Delete radio button: it deletes the selected objects from the drawing
after the block has been defined.
Do not include an icon: does not create a preview icon.
Create icon from block geometry: a preview icon is
created, which is saved with the block definition in the
drawing.

The Source area allows you to select objects and
blocks, specify insertion base points and convert
them into drawing files.
The Base point area allows you to specify the
base point of a wblock, which it uses as an
insertion point.
