ABSTRACT
Wireless LAN is one of the fastest development of wireless communication technology today, it has the advantage of flexibility, mobility and easy installation, in the small scope of networking has irreplaceable advantages. However, because the working frequency and power constraints, wireless LAN coverage of base station is limited, this shortcoming makes it face a series of problems in the further application and a wide range of networking, smart antenna can just solve this problem
This paper firstly introduces the related concepts, wireless LAN and intelligent antenna development history, and the projects development platform field programmable gate array (FPGA) and its development process to do a simple description, provides a method to apply the smart antenna and wireless base station scheme, and the scheme of the whole framework is described, on the scheme using the chip is described, and the smart antenna beam forming algorithm in detail, discusses the beamforming calculation and quantitative weight, finally using hardware description language Verilog, XC2V1000 completed the beam forming algorithm, and the algorithm is described in detail, are verified on each sub module, and finally to the beam forming system for the board level debugging.
