How to improve the learners’ Listening Ability ? ? ? Abstract Listening is a kind of comprehensive competence. As a form of language activity, it plays an important part in human cognitive activities. It should be integrated with speaking, reading and writing skills. This paper presents some problems existing in English teaching learning and how to solve the problem. According to the problem emerges in the procedure of teaching, I have looked up the reference book for a long time, asked my advisor for advice, and analyzed the problem for a long time .In this project I have put forwards some solutions to solve the problem. I have got some useful suggestions from the reference books and my advisor, and these are also what I will talk in the project, such as the characteristics of listening activity, the factor of affecting listening, the principle of listening training and so on. Among the methods of scientific investigation used are analytic method, cause analysis and some examples.
