Abstract The Kite Runner, as the Afghan-born American writer Khaled Hosseini’s maiden work, has won good reputation all over the world when it was published. This work won almost all the prizes as a new star in literary creation in the English-speaking countries and had made the record of occupying the top position of nine major booking-ranking for over ten weeks at the same time. But there is little study about this writer and his works in China. Critics think that Khaled Hosseini is a writer who full of atonement thought. In the fiction, he made his effort to set up a salvation policy by describing the story of the grow up of an Afghan boy which in order to cure the sick Afghan society and the distorted humanity under the extreme religious concepts. People will have a better understanding about Khaled Hosseini when they read his works on the l
