Presentation(10minutes):

Introducethetargetlanguage:possessiveadjectives(my,your,his,her,its,our,their).

Useflashcardstoshowpicturesofobjectsandpracticeformingsentenceswithpossessiveadjectives,e.g.,Thisismybackpack.

Playtheaudiorecordingfor1aandhavestudentslistenforpossessiveadjectives.

Practice(15minutes):

Pairstudentsupandgivethemworkbookpageswithexercisesrelatedto1a.

Havestudentspletetheexercisesandthenchecktheiranswerswiththeirpartner.

Guidestudentsthrough1bbyaskingthemtomatchthesentenceswiththecorrectpictures.
