The Climate and Location of Australia location and size At first,please look at these maps about Australia from this maps we can see that Australia lies in the southern Hemisphere,between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.The country is surrounded by sea :the Arafura Sea on the north and the southern Indian Ocean on the south. The full name of Australia is The Commonwealth of Australia,which consists of mainland Australia ,the island of Tasmania and some smaller islands.The whole country is divided into seven parts:Western Australis(西澳大利亚州),Northern Territory(北领地),South Australia(南澳大利亚州),Queensland(昆士兰州),Victoria(维克多利亚州),New south Wales(南威尔士州) Tasmania(塔斯马尼亚).
