Capacitor Introduction;Outline:; Impedance Z=|R + (sC)-1 + sL|
=|R + (jωC)-1 + jωL| s = jω
=|R – j(ωC)-1 + jωL|
=|R + j[ωL – (ωC)-1]|
Set XC = (ωC)-1 , XL = ωL
Then,
Z =|R + j(XL –XC)|
