when及while的用法及差别
when 和 while 的用法和差别
while 和 when都是表示同时， 究竟句子中是用 when仍是 while 主要看从句和主句中所使用的动词是短暂性动作（刹时动词）仍是连续性动作。
1、若主句表示的是一个短暂性的动作，而从句表示的是一个连续性动作时，二者都可用。如：
He fell asleep when [while] he was reading. 他看书时睡着了。
I met him when [while] I was taking a walk in the park. 我在公园漫步时碰到了他。
2、若主、从句表示两个同时进行的连续性动作，且重申主句表示的动作连续到从句所指的整
个时间，往常要用
while
。如：
Don’t talk while you
’re eating.
吃饭时不要说话。
I kept silent while he was writing.
在他写的时候，我哑口无言。
3、若从句是一个短暂性动作，而主句是一个连续性动作，能够
when
但不用
while
。如：
When he came in, I was listening to the radio.
他进来时，我在听收音机。
It was raining hard when we arrived.
我们抵达时正下着大雨。
4、若主、从句表示的是两个同时 ( 或几乎同时 ) 发生的短暂性动作，一般要用 when。如：
I thought of it just when you opened your mouth. 就在你要说的时候，我也想到了。
至于什么是短暂性动作，什么是连续性动作，其实有个很简单的规律。就是假如是进行时态，一般是连续性的。假如是过去式，一般是短暂性动作。
关于，填写 when仍是 while 的问题，往常第一看主句和从句中的时态，再依据以上 4 个规律来判断填写那个单词。

① when是 at or during the time that,
既指时间点，也可指一段时间，
while
是 during the
time that ，只指一段时间，所以 when指引的时间状语从句中的动词能够是停止性动词，也能够是连续性动词，而 while 从句中的动词一定是连续性动词。
② when 说明从句的动作和主句的动作能够是同时，也能够是先后发生；
while
则重申主句的
动作在从句动作的发生的过程中或主从句两个动作同时发生。
③由 when引 的 状 从句，主句用 去 行 ，从句 用一般 去 ；假如从句和主句的 作同 生，两句都用 去 行 的 候，多用 while 引 ，如：
a. When the teacher came in, we were talking.
当此句改 主从句的地点 ， ：
While we were talking, the teacher came in.
b. They were singing while we were dancing.
when和 while 可作并列 。 when表示“在那 ”； while 表示“而，却”，表 照关系。如：
a. The children were running to move the bag of rice when they heard the sound of a motor bike.
孩子 正要跑 去搬开那袋米， 他 听到了摩托 的声音。
b. He is strong while his brother is weak.
他 得很 ，而他弟弟却很瘦小。
when和 while 引 的 状 从句与 一 用。 所以区 when和 while 的用法成了 一元的 点。
（一）、 when，while 都有“当?? 候”的意思。 when既可表示某一点 ，也能够表示某一段 。在 when引 的 状 从句中， 其 能够是延 性的， 也能够是非延 性的，可与主句中的 同 生，也可在后来 生。
比如：
1、I was just reading a book when she ca me into my room. 她走进我房间时，我正在看书。
2、 Were you writing when the teacher came in? 老师进来的时候，你在写信吗？
