Study on Boundary Layer Drag Reduction of Non-newtonian Fluids

Abstract :Laminar boundary layer flow of four constants Maxwell-oldroyd fluid is investigated.The velocity distribution in
boundary layer, the thickness of the boundary layer are shown.The relation between friction factor, Reynolds number,
the material functions of Non-newtonian fluids is given.For the laminar flow of Non-newtonian fluids some drag reduc-
tion, like turbulent flow, has been found.
