Thismanualhasbeenpreparedtoprovidethecustomerandthemaintenancepersonnelwithinformationandinstruc-

tionsonthemaintenanceandrepairoftheCLARK®Transmission.

Extremecarehasbeenexercisedinthedesign,selectionofmaterialsandmanufacturingoftheseunits.Theslightout-

layinpersonalattentionandcostrequiredtoprovideregularandproperlubrication,inspectionatstatedintervals,and

suchadjustmentsasmaybeindicatedwillbereimbursedmanytimesinlowcostoperationandtroublefreeservice.

Inordertobecomefamiliarwiththevariouspartsofthetransmission,itsprincipleofoperation,troubleshootingand

adjustments,itisurgedthattheservicepersonstudytheinstructionsinthismanualcarefullyanduseitasareference

whenperformingmaintenanceandrepairoperations.

Wheneverrepairorreplacementofcomponentspartsisrequired,onlyClark-approvedpartsaslistedintheapplicable

partsmanualshouldbeused.Useof“will-fit”ornon-approvedpartsmayendangerproperoperationandperformance

oftheequipment.TheClarkEquipmentCompanydoesnotwarrantrepairorreplacementparts,norfailuresresulting

fromtheusethereof,whicharenotsuppliedbyorapprovedbytheClarkEquipmentCompany.

IMPORTANT:AlwaysfurnishtheDistributorwiththetransmissionserialandmodelnumberwhenorderingparts.
