Sixforwardspeedsareobtainedwitha3-speedsectionanda2-speedrangeorauxiliarysection.The3speedsofthe

frontsectionareusedoncethroughlowrangeoftheauxiliary,andoncethroughthehighrange(direct),oftheauxiliary.

WiththeROADRANGEdesign,all6-speedsarecontrolledwithoneleverwhichisshiftedthrougha3-positionshiftpat-

tern.Arangecontrolvalveonthegearshiftleverisusedtopre-selecttherangeshiftswhichareautomaticandsyn-

chronized.Therangeshiftaircylinderisbuiltintothetransmission.

TheRT-906seriesisoftwincountershaftdesign,engineeredanddevelopedbyFuller.Splittingtorquethroughthe

transmissionreducesgeartoothpressuresandwear...promoteslongertransmissionlife.

Thefloatingmainshaftgearsofthetwincountershaftdesigneliminatesgearbushingsandsleeves.Conicalclutching

teetharestandardontheseconstantmeshtransmissions,providingsmoothshiftsandhelppreventinggearclash.
