Unit 9 When was it invented?
The First Period (Section A. 1a-1c)
Ⅰ Teaching aims and demands:
1. Knowledge objects:
▲Have the students learn to use the key vocabulary and target language to talk about the history and the use of some important invention.

A: When was it invented? B: It was invented in 1876.
A: What’s it used for? B: It’s used for doing something.
2. Ability object: To open up the students? eyes to some new ideas.
3. Sensibility and value: Study hard and try to be a famous inventor.
Ⅱ Teaching key points: Use the key vocabulary and target language to talk about the history and the use of some important invention.
Ⅲ Teaching difficulties: Using the passive to talk about some important inventions ⅣTeaching methods: Demonstration doing pair work, discussion and self-evaluating.
