(2)Theservicesectorhasalsoseensignificantgrowth,withaparticularfocusontourism,whichhaslongbeenacornerstoneofHainanseconomy.ThenumberoftouristsvisitingHainanhassurged,reachinganall-timehighof40millionin2019.Thetourismindustryhascontributedtothecreationofnumerousjobsandhasspurredthedevelopmentofsupportingservicessuchashospitality,retail,andtransportation.Tocatertothegrowingdemand,theprovincehasinvestedheavilyininfrastructure,includingtheconstructionofnewhotels,resorts,andtransportationnetworks.TheHaikouInternationalConferenceCenter,openedin2019,hasbecomeamajorvenueforinternationalevents,furtherboostingthelocaleconomy.

(3)Hainanscommitmenttosustainabledevelopmentisevidentinitsfocusongreenenergy.Theprovincehasbecomealeaderinrenewableenergy,withover50%ofitselectricitygeneratedfromrenewablesources.TheHainanWindFarm,withacapacityof200megawatts,isoneofthelargestwindfarmsinChina.Additionally,theprovincehasbeenproactiveinpromotingeco-friendlypractices,suchastheuseofelectricvehiclesandthedevelopmentofeco-tourism.TheHainanInternationalYachtHarbor,forexample,hasimplementedstringentenvironmentalstandardstoensureminimalimpactonthemarineecosystem.Theseeffortshavenotonlyimprovedtheprovincesenvironmentalqualitybuthavealsocontributedtothegrowthofanew,sustainableeconomy.
