Abstract:

Introduction:

InteractiveEnglishteachinghasbecomeanimportantareaofresearchinthefieldoflanguageeducation.Thereisgrowinginterestinunderstandinghowinteractiveteachingmethodscanbeusedtopromotestudentengagement,motivation,andlearningoutcomes.ThisstudyfocusesontheroleofintersubjectivityininteractiveEnglishteaching.Intersubjectivityreferstotheprocessofunderstandingandinterpretingtheexperiencesofothersinasharedsocialcontext.Inthecontextofteaching,intersubjectivityinvolvestheteacherandstudentsworkingtogethertocreatemeaninganddevelopunderstanding.

ResearchBackground:

ThefocusofthisresearchistounderstandhowintersubjectivitycanbeusedtoenhanceinteractiveEnglishteaching.Existingresearchinthisareahasshownthataninteractiveteachingapproachcanpromotestudentengagementandimprovelearningoutcomes.However,thereislimitedresearchontheroleofintersubjectivityininteractiveteaching.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatehowtheuseofintersubjectivitycanimprovestudentsengagement,motivation,andlearningoutcomesinEnglishlanguageclassrooms.
