?##一、Introduction

Engineeringmechanicsisafundamentaldisciplinethatliesattheheartofmanyengineeringfields.Itprovidesthetheoreticalbasisandanalyticaltoolsforunderstandingandsolvingproblemsrelatedtothebehaviorofstructures,machines,andmaterialsundertheactionofforces.Thisoverviewwillcoverthemainaspectsofengineeringmechanics,includingstaticsanddynamics,andtheirapplicationsinvariousengineeringcontexts.

##二、Statics

2.1BasicConcepts

-Force:Aforceisapushorapullactingonanobject.Itischaracterizedbyitsmagnitude,direction,andpointofapplication.Forcescanbeclassifiedascontactforces(suchasfriction,normalforce)andnon-contactforces(suchasgravity,electromagneticforce).Inengineeringmechanics,wemainlydealwithmechanicalforces.

-ParticleandRigidBody:Aparticleisanidealizedobjectwithmassbutnegligiblesize.Arigidbodyisanobjectthatdoesnotdeformundertheactionofforces.Theseconceptsareusedassimplificationstoanalyzethemechanicalbehaviorofreal-worldobjects.

-Equilibrium:Anobjectisinequilibriumwhentheresultantofalltheforcesactingonitiszero.Inthecaseofaparticle,thismeansthatthevectorsumofallforcesiszero,i.e.,$\sum\vec{F}=0$.Forarigidbody,inadditiontotheforceequilibrium($\sum\vec{F}=0$),thesumofthemomentsaboutanypointmustalsobezero,i.e.,$\sum\vec{M}=0$.

2.2ForceSystems

-ConcurrentForceSystems:Inaconcurrentforcesystem,alltheforcesactatasinglepoint.Toanalyzesuchasystem,wecanusevectoradditiontofindtheresultantforce.Forexample,ifwehavetwoforces$\vec{F}_1$and$\vec{F}_2$actingatapoint,theresultantforce$\vec{R}=\vec{F}_1+\vec{F}_2$.
