Abstract According to the w velength tuning ch r cteristic of widely tun ble SG- DBR l sers, kind of w velength con
t rol system is developed in this p per . By utom tic lly gener ting nd invoking the look- up t ble, w hich is used to store the
rel t ionship betw een the w velengths nd tuning current s, the p rt icul r l sing w velength of SG- DBR l ser is obt ined. Due
to the ut iliz t ion of virtu l inst rument nd micro controlled unit in the sy stem, the pp r tus cost is reduced nd the system is
sizing down. The t uning experiments show t h t this sy stem h s high precision of w velength control nd the error of w ve
length control is not more th n ! 0. 02 nm.
