The typical structure used in contrasts, is “parallelism”, and it is usually supported by “signposts”: Parallelism ▲ Two items are contrasted systematically, either: ● feature by feature, or ● by describing one item first, listing the different features, then describing the other item and listing the different features in the same order as they were listed in the description of the first item.
