Abstract: he preferential adsorption and encapsulation phenomena in ternary composites were investigated
by studying the mechanical properties of the PP/ GF/ PA66, PP/ GF/ PE , PP/ GB/ PA66, PP/ GB/ PE
and PP/ PA66/ PE composites1 It was found that the polymer polarity played an important role in the
interface formation during the processing1 he polar inorganic fillers or polar polymer could be
preferentially encapsulated by the polar polymer in the dipolar polymer matrix during the melted
processing1 Due to the preferential adsorption and encapsulation, the interface adhesion was improved and
the mechanical properties of the ternary composites were also influenced by encapsulation1 And better
properties could be obtained after encapsulation1 Furthermore, the relationship between encapsulation and
interface tension was discussed.
