In2016,researchersfromColumbia,Harvard,andGeorgetownconductedastudytofigureitout.Theyfoundbusypeopleareperceivedtobeofhighstatus,andinterestingly,thesestatusattributionsareheavilyinfluencedbyourownbeliefsaboutsocialmobility.Inotherwords,themorewebelievethatonehastheopportunityforsuccessbasedonhardwork,themorewetendtothinkthatpeoplewhoskipleisureandworkallthetimeareofhigherstanding.
