Basiccharacteristicsofanethicaldecision:
a)Thedecisionislikelytohavesignificanteffectonothers
b)Thedecisionislikelytobecharacterizedbychoice,inthatalternativecoursesofactionare
open.Amoraldecisionrequiresthatwehaveachoice.Whendecisionmakersactually
recognizethattheyhaveethicalchoices,thentheyfaceanethicaldilemma.
c)Thedecisionisperceivedasethicallyrelevantbyoneormoreparties.Regardlessof
whetherthedecision-makerseesadecisionashavingethicalcontent,ifothersdo,thenthe
decisionimmediatelyincurssomedegreeofethically.
