[Abstract]ObjectiveToexplorethepredictivevalueofelectroencephalograph(EEG)quantitativeparameterscombinedwithserummicroRNAs(miR)-146a-5pincognitivedysfunctioninpatientswithAlzheimer’sdisease(AD).MethodsAtotalof96ADpatientsdiagnosedinShaoxingSeventhPeople’sHospitalfromMarch2022toMay2024wereselectedtoassesswhetherthepatientshadcognitiveimpairmentaccordingtotheMontrealcognitivescale(MoCA)score,and40patientswithcognitiveimpairmentweresetasoccurrencegroup(MoCAscorelt;26points).Atotalof56patientswithnormalcognitivefunctionweresetasnon-developinggroup(MoCAscore≥26points).Quantitativeelectroencephalography(EEG)parametersandserummiR-146a-5pwerecomparedbetweenthetwogroups.TheriskfactorsofcognitivedysfunctioninADpatientswereanalyzedbyLogisticregression,andreceiveroperatingcharacteristiccurvewasusedtopredictefficacyofEEGquantitativeparametersandserummiR-146a-5poncognitivedysfunctioninADpatients.ResultsTheδfrequencyband,θfrequencyband,andserummiR-146a-5plevelswerelowerinoccurrencegroupthanthoseinnonoccurrencegroup,whileβfrequencybandandαfrequencybandwerehigherinoccurrencegroupthaninthosenonoccurrencegroup(Plt;0.05).δnbsp;frequencyband,θfrequencyband,miR-146a-5p,age,andyearsofeducationwereriskfactorsforcognitivedysfunctioninADpatients(Plt;0.05).Theareaunderthecurve(AUC)ofpredictingcognitiveimpairmentinADpatientsusingthecombinationofδfrequencyband,θfrequencyband,βfrequencyband,αfrequencyband,andmiR-146a-5pwas0.908.ThesensitivityofpredictingcognitiveimpairmentinADpatientsusingthecombinationofdeltafrequencyband,δfrequencyband,βfrequencyband,αfrequencyband,andmiR-146a-5pwashigherthanthatofindividualdetection(Plt;0.05).Conclu
