Western blot。 Abstract: This study aims to investigate the effects of tetramine on learning and memory in epileptic rats and the expression changes of GAP-43 to provide experimental evidence for the treatment of epilepsy. Firstly, SD rats were randomly divided into four groups: normal group, diazepam group, epilepsy group, and tetramine group. Then, the Morris water maze experiment was used to explore the learning and memory abilities of rats in each group. Finally, Western blot was used to detect the expression of GAP-43 in the hippocampal area of rats in each group. The results showed that the learning and memory abilities of rats in the tetramine group were significantly higher than those in the epilepsy group, and the expression level of GAP-43 in the hippocampal area of rats in the tetramine group was significantly higher than that in the epilepsy group. This indicates that tetramine can improve the learning and memory abilities of epileptic rats and may be related to the expression changes of GAP-43. In conclusion, this study suggests that tetramine may be a promising drug for the treatment of epilepsy and that GAP-43 may be one of its mechanisms for regulating learning and memory. However, more research is needed to confirm its exact mechanism of action. Keywords: Tetramine; epilepsy; learning and memory; GAP-43; Morris water maze experiment; Western blot.
