ofthesourcetext,theSTisconsideredacompoundtext.Additionally,duringthe

processoftranslation,thereareanumberofparallelstructuresintheST,whichposes

asignificantchallengetothetranslationpracticeandhastriggeredtranslatorsto

explorethetranslationstrategiesandmethodsofparallelstructuresinacompound

text.Accordingly,thereportcategorizesparallelstructuresintolexicalparallel

structures,phrasalparallelstructures,clausalparallelstructures,andsententialparallel

structures,andselectstranslationexampleswithanalysis.Generally,thereport

classifiesthetranslationstrategiesonparallelstructuresinthiscompoundtextinto

semanticandgrammaticallevels.Onthesemanticlevel,thetargettexttakesinto

accountbothcommunicativetranslationandsemantictranslation,withthemainfocus

ondiscussingtranslationtechniquessuchasaddition,omission,inversion,and

sentencereorderingtoachievetheconveyanceoftheparallelstructures.Forlexical

parallelstructuresandphrasalparallelstructures,thetranslationreproducesthe

correspondingcontentoftheoriginalparallelstructurethroughthesimilar,

progressive,orcontrastingsemanticsoftheparallelunits.Forclausalparallel

structuresandsententialparallelstructures,thetranslationmainlyadoptsfree

translation.Onthe
