The prone（倾斜的） shadows with their outstretched（张开）arms clung（紧握） to the feet of the hurrying light（匆忙的时间）. The koels （布谷鸟）were weary of （疲倦的）their songs. I was walking by the road， I do not know why. The hut （小屋）by the side of the water is shaded by an overhanging tree. Some one was busy with her work， and her bangles（手镯） made music in the corner. I stood before this hut， I do not know why. The narrow winding road crosses many a mustard field（芥菜地）， and many a mango（芒果） forest. It passes by the temple of the village and the market at the river landing place. I stopped by this， but I do not know why. Years age it was a day of breezy（微风的） March when the murmur（低声的） if the spring was languorous（柔情的）， and mango blossoms（芒果花） were dropping on the dust. The rippling （流动的）water leapt（跳跃） and licked the brass vessel（黄铜器皿） that stood on the landing step（渡头）. I think of that day of breezy March， I do not know why. Shadows are deepening and cattle（牛） returning to their folds（栅栏）. The light is grey（灰色） upon the lonely meadows（牧场）， and the village are waiting for the ferry （渡口）at the bank（浅滩） I slowly return upon my steps， I do not know why. The koels were weary of their songs.
