= Abstract I t has g ained the obviou s eff ectiv eness that applying the EPS heat insulating boar ds to the fo undat ion o f hy-
draulic st ruct ur es can resist the fro st heav e damag e of the foundatio n. the EPS heat insulat ing fo undation is obser ved for fo ur
w inter s and spr ings and the temper ature f ield o f the foundatio n is analyzed by in- situ simulat ing in the f ield , and the obser vation
data ar e obtained. T he test result validates t he f easibility that the EP S heat insulating foundatio n metho d can r educe the fro st
heav e fro m the analysis o f t em perat ur e f ield chang ing law s w it h diff erent density and diff erent thickness of the EPS heat insula-
t ion foundatio n. It can off er r ef err ing g ist for consummating the ant-i f rozen theo ry and practical ex periences.
