T he chang ing trend of the a ir com- pression pressure along the service tmi e o f eng ine is ana lyzed. The character istics o f cylinder w ear and the factors that affect cy linder w ear and its lifet mi e is analyzed. A n art ific ia l neural newt ork m ode l for prediction is set up accord ing to the nonlinearity of cy linderw ear, and so the prediction of the lifet mi es o f cy linder liners of different tank eng ines is rea lized.
