Abstract: A series of environmental geological problems, such as the rap id decreasing of groundw ater leve,l saltw a
ter intrusion and ground surface crack had arisen from longterm groundw ater overdraft in Guangrao County of Shan
dong Province. These problems become the critical concern as to the sustainable social and econom ic development
of the region. Groundw ater recharge and regu lation ofw ithdraw al are the effectivemeans to prevent saltw ater intru
sion. Th is paper discusses the integrated technology series includ ing expermi ents, numericalmodeling and optmi al
technique. The expermi ental studies both in field and lab provide the basic dat
