The result of the numerical simulation is in accordance with the experiment on summer conditions. Effect of thermal conductivity of backfill, fluid velocity and the buried depth on the heat transfer of vertical U-tube underground heat exchanger was analyzed. The calculations show that the heat transfer of ground heat exchanger for unit depth is inversely proportional to buried depth while directly proportional to fluid velocity and thermal conductivity of backfill.
