Students need to have taken and passed one of the following three courses before they are permitted to take this course: international trade law, international economic law, or legal methodology. Course outline Week 1（3/1）course introduction Week 2（3/8）dispute settlement in international law Week 3-4（3/15, 3/22）WTO DS I: sources of WTO law, jurisdiction Week 5-7（3/29, 4/5, 4/12）WTO DS II: panel and AB process Week 8-9（4/19, 4/26）WTO DS III: implementation and remedies Week 10-11（5/3, 5/10）WTO DS IV: participation of private parties? Week 12-13（5/17, 5/24）WTO DS V : interpretation of treaties Week 14-15（5/31, 6/7）WTO DS VI: conflicting norms Week 116（6/14）Final project presentation Each student needs to choose 2 topics and find relevant WTO cases and literature. Each topic will be led by the student responsible for that topic.
