Now we are at the old dragon’s head the east starting point of the existing Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. Like a dragon, the Great Wall is spectacular, with its long arms resting on rolling mountains and its towers peering across the valleys. With its total length of 4,000 miles, it is the longest artificial construction in the world. If the Great Wall were transported to the United States and stretched out in a straight line, it would run from New York City across the Atlantic Ocean—by Spain, England, and France, all the way to Berlin. In the last feudal dynasty of China, Qing Dynasty, this place was visited by five emperors for 11 times in total. Why did they come here so frequently? Obvio
