With the rapid development of global economic integration and the adoption of open-up and reform policy, more Chinese enterprises have entered into the global market. They are increasingly realizing the importance of trademarks as well as their translations in stimulating consumption and expanding domestic and overseas market. This paper consists of three parts. It firstly deals with the trademark and trademark translation, followed by the discussion about the relationship between culture and translation. Then, it analyzes the cultural differences in English and Chinese trademark translation, covering the differences in cultural connotations and the differences in cultural presupposition. Finally, the paper concludes that the translator must pay special attention to the cultural differences in English and Chinese trademark to ensure the translated trademark to avoid cultural loss or distortion.
