The COBAS AmpliPrep performs all the reagent and sample handling for the system. The AmpliPrep performs the nucleic acid extraction from the sample and automatically continues to the master mix prepartation and PCR reaction assembly in the dedicated PCR reaction vessel. This fully automated extraction and PCR set-up allows for the overnight operation capability. There is an on-board capacity of up to 72 samples. With no minimum or required batch size. Additionally, as samples are processed we are able to continuously load additional consumable, samples and reagents. A type of mid-flight refueling allowing for continual operation if desired.
