Study on the fuzzy adaptive PID algorithm for control system of biomass boiler
Abstract—The fuzzy adaptive PID control system is developed for
the biomass boiler due to the new problems brought by the
biomass fuel. The fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm has been
deeply researched. By comparing it with the normal PID control
algorithm about the reaction to the interference signals, the
writer of the paper draws the conclusion that the performance of
the control system has been greatly improved by the proposed
algorithm. The fuzzy PID control strategy enables the system to
have the advantages of strong anti-interference, flexibility,
adaptability and high control precision.

I. INTRODUCTION
The biomass boiler has been used more abroad because it
has some advantage of saving energy resources, zero
discharging of the greenhouse gas and environmental
protection. Compared with the fossil fuels, the biomass fuels
have great difference in component and configuration. The
basic characteristics of biomass are: washiness, large volume of
the produced flue gas, high heat loss of the exhaust emissions;
small density, loose structure, the proportion of suspension
burning is large. After the separation of volatilization, the coke
granule wrapped with ash is difficult to burn out [1]. At
present, the control system of boiler is in the stage of constant
perfection and becomes mature gradually, but the research of
control algorithm of biomass boiler is a brand new issue, the
operation effect of the burning control system of the biomass
boiler is not satisfactory, in that it cannot meet the need of load,
heat efficiency cannot be effectively promoted, it is too reliable
on experienced operators in operation, and data control is not
effective [2]. With increasing of the interference factors, how
