China Environmental Science, 2014,34(3)623~629 Abstract The bench-scale study on wastewater of water work which purifies Qingcaosha raw water was fulfilled using the combined process of coagulation and micro-filtration (MF), and the removal effect of traditional pollutants, trace organics and metal ions as well as the generation trend of the disinfecting by-products were analyzed. It was showed by the results that ,coagulation pretreatment could mitigate flat-sheet membrane fouling effectively; the combined process was effective to remove particlesstrainsEscherichia coli and other suspended substances with over 85% removing rate, but it could not do well with the dissolved components, especially aluminum and trace organics, with the degradation of under 20%. At the same concentration of the chlorine disinfectant, the generation trend of the disinfection by-products after membrane filtration was higher than the effluent of the sand filter or carbon filter. It was suggested that the optimal reuse points of the treated wastewater could be placed in front of the sand filter or the biological activated carbon filtration.
