It is generally believed that there firstly appeared the supernatural myth, and then after the historicizing transformation, it changed into the historic legend. Regardless of its pre- historicizing or post- historicizing, the basic contents of the Myth of un and Yu are mainly relat- ed to flood- control. It seems that it bears no relation to creation myth. Seemingly there is no suffi- cient evidence to support the assumption that some mythologists think that the so- called Drag- ging for Mud and Creating Earth the prototype of flood- control myth is one of the creation myths.
