On Application of Affective Education in Middle School English Teaching 情感教学在中学英语教学中的应用 Abstract: Affect is the link between teachers and students in communication. Education today have a renewed perspective about affective education. Since humanistic language-teaching theory in 1970 begins to focus its attention on affect in language teaching, from home to abroad, many scholars are concerned with this field---affective education. In our country, in New Standard of English Curriculum, affective factors are the more important target. So exploring functions of affective factors in English teaching has become an important aspect of affective education study. Based on the theory, this paper discusses affective factors in English teaching. It describes the connotation of affective education, the main contents of affect, the importance of affect in education, and the current situation of English teaching, analyzes affective factors on students’ English learning, and puts forward some strategies. Key words: affective education;affective factors;middle school English teaching;application 内容提要: 情感是教师和学生思想交流和语言交流的纽带。自二十世纪七十年代以来,人本主义教学理论开始关注情感在语言学习中的作用,国内外许多学者开始了真正的情感教学。在我国新制定的课程标准把情感态度列为重要的课程目标之一。因此,探讨情感因素在英语教学中的作用便成为情感教学研究的一个重要方面。本文拟从理论方面对英语教学中的情感因素进行分析和探讨。通过阐述情感教学的内涵、情感在教学中的作用,分析影响中学生英语学习的情感因素,并结合当前中学英语教学的现状,研究探索如何更好地利用情感因素进行教学。 关键词:情感教育;情感因素;中学英语教学;应用 Chapter 1 Status of Affect in English Teaching People’s cognition starts from affect which directly perceives others with experience and also comes to an evaluation with its own feeling to the other side. Affect is not absolutely subjective. Through the evaluation of objective, it is possible to show the nature, structure and attribute of objective with deepening and potential relation. 1.1 Connotation of Affect According to Encyclopedia of psychology, “Affect relates to and /or encompasses a wide range of concepts and phenomena including feelings, emotions, moods, motivation, and certain drives and instincts” [1] (p.3
