By using of a sw itch and a crossing- zero comparator,the system successfully solves the difficult problem of impulse current w hen the compensat ion capacitors are connected to the circuit. The sw itch, com- posed of MOC3041 and thyrister BT 137, controls shunt compensation capacitors connected to t he load. And t he crossing- zero comparator in MOC3041 realizes delay- time control for the sw itch.In softw are design, the system successfully uses PWM to control the switch on and off to change the equivalent capacitance of the com pensat ion capacitors ( and urge) , so that the capac- itance can be adjusted continuously. The method of compensation capacitors makes the system more stably, reliably and im- proves the accuracy of monitoring and compensation.
