The burnig issue
The project manager has to make sure that the customer is satisfied that the work scope is completed in a quality manner, within budget and on time. The project manager especial international project manager who located in a more complex environment must know how to use useful project management tools to ensure the project delivering on time everytime. The international project manager should consider about three main areas which can use different project management tools in: time planning which including Gantt Charts, AoA, AoN, PERT and CPM; cost planning which including top-down and bottom- up. This paper aims at analysing which tools are most useful project mangement tools in an international environment so that can delivery the project successfully.
The overview
The project plan lives and breathes and changes as the project progresses or fails. The project plan must define the work to be done, the resources required, the methods to be followed in the project and its management and control, the tools to be used in support of the methods, and the schedule of work (Lientz Rea, 1998, P12). In an international environment, the whole project planning can be more complex, this is the reason why time planning management tools, cost planning management tools and resource allocation management tools important in a project. Once a project manager uses wrong management tools in these areas, it will lead a total project failure, cost money and cost time, even make the company crashed. The objective of time planning is to make the major revisions early in the planning cycle and then make minor refinements to the plan (Maylor, 1999, P77). Cost planning is a plan for allocating resources which serves as a standard for comparison, a baseline frome which to measure the difference between the actual and planned uses of resources (Gray Clifford, 2008, P326). Managing resource allocation means if the project schedule can be adjusted to smooth the use of the resource
