Abstracts The development of the elimination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by catalytic
combustion especially aromatic hydrocarbons ethanols aldehydes and halogenated hydrocarbon
compoundsis reviewed. The characteristics of the catalysts for the catalytic combustion of various
VOCs is reviewed. The difference in the catalytic performance of the catalysts under various reaction
conditions is analyzed. The development trend of the elimination of volatile organic compounds by
catalytic combustion is presented.
