The ex- permi ental and theoretical approaches to the reaction kinetics of typical processes in silicate system swere pe-r formed, including (1)sintering reactions in the system of high-alum ina flyash-sodium carbonate at intermediate temperature, and thermal decomposition of K-feldspar in the system of potassium feldspar-gypsum-calcium ca-r bonate;(2)hydrothermal decomposition ofK-feldspar and crystallizing reaction of tobermorite in the system of KA lSi O -Ca(OH )-H O;(3)crystallizing reaction of β-wollastonite from glass-ceram ic in the system ofSiO - 3 8 2 2 2 A lO -CaO;and (4)adsorption reactions to Hg2+ in polluted water by both m icro-andmeso-porousmolecular 2 3 sievesof 13X type zeolite andMCM-41materials, respectively.
