Methods: Papers of clinical study of α-lipoic acid in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy were collected and selected according to the standard. The effectivenesses of α-lipoic acid and methylcobalamin were compared and meta-analysis was made. Results: There were 7 articles included in our study, effectiveness of α-lipoic acid in treatment group was superior to control group such as methylcobalamin in treatment o
