Topic 1
Everyone will experience the different stages of life, and as we grow older, our purpose of choosing a friend changes. This is what today my topic is mainly focus on.
When we are still a child, we are all innocent and worry about nothing. In this stage, we don’t care about our friends’ social background, their religions, values or whether they are poor or wealthy. We are still too young to realize those complicated questions. We just want to find someone to play with, to accompany us venturing in the colorful world with our pure eyes. The interesting thing may be, a child’s friend is not just considered human beings. It can also be a cat, a dog, or even a flower growing in the yard.
But when we growing up, things changes. Aspects like personalities, social back ground, values, religions, and which political camps you belong to all begin to influences the choice we make in choosing a friend now. The reason why people begin to aware these in choosing a friend I think is caused by mainly two reasons. First, the knowledge we learn changed our mind. What we learn plays an important role in building our personalities and values, and if two people are extremely different in personalities and values, they may find they are always arguing on variety of things. In this way, they may not become friends at all. Second, as an adult, he will always have ambitions to succeed. To meet some people with good knowledge and superior social background can help you much easily to get what you want. It may be more obviously in politics.
Since we are now considered much more on a series of aspects in choosing a friend, we find our real friends are less. That’s because our aim is so clear. We haven’t treated our friend with our true heart. A real friend is whom you can always turn to, and he never dislikes and avoids you. No matter which stage we are in, we need true friends.
