Abstract ：Due to the vast of heterogeneous medical information systems ，it is hard to transform and exchange medical data between these systems.To remedy this situation ，remote medical consultations based on service-oriented architecture and Web services are being built.But the current register and discovery protocol as UDDI can ’t describe the semantic information of a Web service.Many suitable Web services can ’t be discovered automatically by the service discovery method.In order to re- solve these problems ，this paper presents a model of semantic Web service based on ontology and a method of service dis- covery.The model can describe Web service accurately.The method contributes to the improvement of service discovery effi- ciency when service is retrieved in an automatic way.
