T he mining companies have provided much t echnical and financial support for indium explorat ion in the past several years. In spit e of t his, there has been up t ill now only very insuff icient geological informat ion on the indium deposit in such aspect s as its tectonic sett ing , mode of occurrence, met allog enic process and explorat ion model. T his paper has made a review of m in- eralog y, g eology , t ypes, dist ribution and t ectonic sett ings of indium deposits studied before, and also put for- w ard some opinions on furt her researches, such as t he explorat ion implicat ions.
