It takes the responsibility of monitoring and control for the whole power system along with advanced, open network structure, reliable hardware/software system and a good human-machine interface. SCADA system is a stratified, distribution control system who is in charge of real-time monitoring and controlling of substations, catenaries and other electrical equipment, handling a variety of alarm and events, in order to protect the normal operation of power system, while improving power system management and maintenance level, improving quality of power supply to ensure system security, reliable operation. SCADA system is divided into three layers: the main station in the dispatch center system, substation station control layer systems and field device level. The three-tier systems communicate via network, such as inter substation communication channel (or self-built channel) , iner-substation integrated automation system.
