哈尔滨工业大学工程硕士学位论文 哈尔滨工业大学工程硕士学位论文 - - II - Abstract As everyone knows, with the rapid increase in the number of Internet users, the defects of the core technology of Internet--IPv4, such as the lack of IP addresses, low security, have been clearly exposed. These defects would severely restrict the future development of Internet applications and scale. So, Internet needs the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 urgently. As the border of the Internet, the digital home network also faces the challenges of transition to IPv6. This dissertation studies and explores options for transition solutions of IPv6 digital home gateway which is the core equipment of the digital home network, and discusses the design technology and engineering technology problems. Based on the development trends and characteristics of the Internet transition from IPv4 to IPv6 with the existing IPv6 transition technology, this dissertation proposes and designs a complete set of tunnel-technology-based IPv6 transition solutions in the digital home gateway hardware platform. This dissertation discussed about the system model based on the 6rd tunnel technology applicable to the IPv6 transition at the earlier stage and the system model based on 4over6 tunnel technology suitable for IPv6 later transition stage respectively, as well as the system mode integration method which was designed based on RADIUSv4/v6 technology. It analysed and studied the different modes of tunnel technology principle, the system whole architecture design, tunnel establishment conditions and tunnel frame generation methods. At last, it designed the remote management method which integrates two different tunnel models, and put forward the solution of tunnel mode selection remotely using RADIUSv4 and RADIUSv6 management server.
