Abstract:Inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is considered as the most significant strategy for
thetreatment of Alzheimers disease(AD) at present.And the abundance of natural productsis a treas
ure for developing acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. The article reviews the current situation in the re
search of acetylcholinesterase inhibitiorsfrom natural products.Numerous phytoconstituents,promising
plant species and microorganismsas AChE inhibitors are reported in this paper.
