The best prescription of this composite flocculant is rectorite: amylose= 20B 1( w / w ) , and its best dosage is 80 mg# L- 1 modified rectorite and 4 mg#L- 1 amylose. Treating oil paint wastewater using this composite flocculant, the removal rates of COD,SS and coloring matter were 43. 1% , 6. 4% and 22. 6% higher than those of P C, and were 19. 1% , 3. 4% and 21. 8% higher than P M; on the other hand its cost to treating one ton wastewater were 16. 85% and 30.7% less than that of P C and P M respectively, and the quality of treated oil paint wastewa
