儿童文学翻译中的功能对等研究——以《绿野仙踪》两个译本为例的中期报告
摘要:
本文以美国儿童文学经典《绿野仙踪》的两个中译本为例,采用功能对等理论,从翻译品质、语体风格、文化适应度等维度进行比较与分析,旨在探究儿童文学翻译中的功能对等策略。研究发现,两个译本在翻译品质方面表现不尽相同,其中北京大学出版社版译本更加注重语言的准确性,而外语教学与研究出版社版译本则兼顾翻译准确性和流畅度。在文化适应度方面,两个译本均有所改动,但出版社版译本的改动更加贴近中国读者的文化背景,相对而言更加容易受到中国读者的接受。在语体风格方面,两个译本均有所体现,但北京大学出版社版译本更加注重叙事的迅疾性,而外语教学与研究出版社版译本则更加强调情感的表现。本研究旨在为中国儿童文学翻译提供借鉴和参考。

Abstract:
Taking two Chinese translations of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a classic of American childrens literature, as an example, this paper uses the functional equivalence theory to compare and analyze the two translations from the dimensions of translation quality, style and culture adaptation in order to explore the functional equivalence strategy in childrens literature translation. It was found that the two translations performed differently in terms of translation quality, with the Peking University Press edition placing more emphasis on language accuracy, while the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press edition takes both translation accuracy and fluency into consideration. In terms of cultural adaptation, both translations were altered, but the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press edition was more closely adapted to the cultural backgrounds of Chinese readers and was therefore more easily accepted by them. In terms of style and language, both translations were evident, but the Peking University Press edition placed more emphasis on narrative speed, while the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press edition emphasized the expression of emotions. This study aims to provide reference and guidance for Chinese childrens literature translation.
