Methods 300 patients with cervical spondylosis of nerve root type who were treated in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2016 were selected as study subjects. According to the random assignment method， the patients were divided into the control group and the treatment group， with 150 patients in each group. The control group was given acupuncture therapy， and the treatment group was given acupuncture combined with massage manipulation. The clinical efficacy， VAS scores before and after treatment， as well as adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate was % in the treatment group and % in the control group. The difference was significant between the two groups（）. Conclusion Acupuncture combined with massage manipulation can improve the pain of shoulder and neck， radiating pain and numbness of upper limb pain， and dizziness and headache in the patients with cervical spondylosis of nerve root type， with the advantages of easy operation， less damage， fast recovery and high efficacy， as well as low incidence of adverse reactions， which is worthy of clinical pr
